A deeply disturbing video making rounds on social media shows a young man, identified as SS, physically assaulting a young woman at Gbagba Yella Face, 2 Hill Station, Freetown. According to reports, SS was allegedly hired from Bo by his sister with the deliberate intent of attacking the woman captured in the video.
This horrific act highlights the growing concern around violence against women in Sierra Leone — an issue Her Excellency Dr. Fatima Maada Bio has been boldly fighting against, advocating for the protection and empowerment of women and girls across the country.
We are urgently calling on Inspector General William Fayia Sellu to act immediately: Arrest SS and his sister without delay. Justice must be served to ensure the victim receives protection and to send a loud, uncompromising message — Sierra Leone will not tolerate violence against women!
